I spend half my life in hotels. This is a nice hotel but the staff at the front desk let it down. If you are a VIP that is used to upgrades and late checkouts, etc - they will make you fight for them rather than just offering them and making it easy like just about every other VIP hotel

Major upgrades make this a real five star hotel

The hotel has remodelled and it shows. Great new set of rooms at reasonable prices. Pool, food and overall service is great, and the entire hotel is particularly clean, I could not find a dust or insect or anything to complain about. The room doors warp in the heat and some room doors stick some times, and do not automatically close when you leave the room as well as the cabinet doors inside the room that you really have to push, but I pointed it out and the front manager listened. New safe opens to the top and holds open and is easy to set and open. The location is central to to night life and to old style Bangkok shopping as well as Terminal 21 and centralwOrld where you will find everything you need. Litterally. The 7th floor of Terminal 21(Asok) is a food center with bargain local food as well international food (China/Japan etc). The spectacular bathroom fixtures make the waterfall shower really easy to set once and use every day with a touch of a single button. Each room type has a great set of furniture from work table to coffee table to a magnificent bed with a touch of perfumed linen. A lot of small details on top of the remodeled rooms, make this a 5 star facility I would come back to.

Basic hotel snd area is rowdy. Even after saying I don’t smoke they schlepped me in a smoking room. Had to complain efire it was changed. The smoking floor is awful. Room is ok but not as pic shows. Overall it was ok but not great.

I enjoyed the breakfast, and the concierge was very helpful. Also I loved the location was central to all the events we were looking forward to doing, and all the taxi drivers knew about this hotel, we just had to mention it's name and they could get us there. One thing I disliked was how the rooftop restaurant the Pastel charged me $30 USD for a 500ml bottle of still water, obviously a scam. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

General Impression: The location is great (right in the middle of Soi 11 with all the clubs, bars, restaurants, within steps. walking distance to BTS and plenty of taxi, motorbike and tuktuk drivers waiting and chasing you down for a ride. Staff are very polite and accommodating. There is also a Starbucks right attached to the hotel, which is a plus for those coffeholics ... The Pool was nice and very relaxing and not crowded Shortcomings: I have stayed at this hotel before and previously I had a corner Unit which was large, very clean and well maintained (no view) This time, I was given a room (I guess in a different building,) next to the elevator that made noise all night) The room had no windows and I do not recommend it for claustrophobic people. It was way smaller than the pictures and what I expected. The room felt very cheap motel.
