It should be made clear on the website listing that there is no on-site staff and reception desk at the hotel. Need to check-in online before arrival to get codes for hotel entrance front door and room. Inconvenient.

Modern clean basics, stairway hazardous

Pro: brand new, thoughtful, efficient design of small room. Free tea and coffee at the entrance, welcome water and beer in the room. Good low-loft pillows and mid-season comforter, comfortable mattress, rare in the hospitality industry. Con: stairway renovation was incompetent -- step heights differ one to the next, major trip hazard. No bed reading light nor bedside stand.

Great location in Bamberg. Walkable from train and to the Centre. Clean and quiet room, albeit rather small. Great shower. Coffee facilities in the room rather than the vestibule would have been appreciated.

For the price it’s great. Much better for a solo traveler or perhaps a couple willing to deal with the tight space. But it’s a good place to stay.

there is no staff at all in the hotel. We had problems with our room upon arrival as the AC was not functioning during a very hot day and the wifi was not working either. We tried to contact staff through the phone number provided in the room, but the phone number was not working so there was no way to reach anyone. they never replied to a message sent through hotel.com either. However, the room was very fine, a little bit dusty and stuffy but clean and comfortable enough. Okay for one night but would not recommend due to the unavailability of the staff.

Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr, sehr klein! Es gab ein kleines Bett (90cm breit) und ein sehr kleines Bad. Das WC war so in die Ecke eingebaut, dass man beim sitzen mit den Beinen an der Wand anstößt. Die Dusche war sehr schön, das Waschbecken auch sehr schmal. Die Location war sehr gut. Kaffee oder Tee konnte man sich holen. Das war ok. Keine Milch oder Zucker vorhanden. Alles zusammen befriedigend.
