Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
We rented this three-bedroom property for four adults and were disappointed that it did not match the expectations created by the listing.The property was a condo, nothing close to a B&B or “vacation home”.The spacious kitchen and living area photo is enticing, but the rest of the house was a let down.The strongest issue was an overwhelming mothball odor throughout the condo. It was noticeable the moment we walked in and was so pervasive that the smell lingered on our clothes and belongings after we returned home.The listing advertised queen-size beds, but the beds were actually full-size. The bedding was also poor quality, with thin sheets that repeatedly came off the mattresses, inexpensive pillows, no mattress pads, master bed had only a thin twin-size blanket.A curtain rod in the master was a hazard, broken and fell down when trying to open the curtain.The kitchen was not adequately stocked. There were only two forks and a few random dishes and cups. No other utensils or glasses, it was difficult to make & eat meals.We also found only one set of towels per bedroom, and although there was a closet labeled “extra towels,” it was empty.Finally, the deck was not a usable outdoor space. It was cluttered with ladders, broken furniture, and a plastic milk bottle filled with cigarette butts.Guests deserve an accurate representation of what they are paying for. We hope these issues are addressed so future guests have an experience that better matches the listing.
