Faunoran is the latest addition to Gairnshiel, set amongst silver birch trees and a short walk from Balmoral Castle. Tucked away in the heart of Royal Deeside, it offers an idyllic base for a Highland escape where nature and calm take centre stage.
Designed with gatherings in mind, Faunoran is perfect for families and friends seeking a refined countryside retreat. Every detail has been carefully considered, from curated artwork to designer tables, elegant crockery, tiled floors, and beautiful furnishings that balance style with warmth.
Arranged across three floors, the house offers both space and character. The ground floor features a welcoming lounge centred around an artistic fireplace, a striking black-finished bar area, a dining room with views over the gardens, a state-of-the-art kitchen, as well as a practical boot room, laundry, and guest facilities. An impressive staircase leads upstairs to three ensuite bedrooms on the first floor, while the top floor hosts two additional ensuite bedrooms, offering privacy and comfort for all guests. Please note all our bedrooms have super king size beds and can`t be twinned.
Large gardens surround Faunoran House. A private drive leads to parking at the front, while to the rear, a large terrace provides multiple seating areas perfect for making the most of sunny days and enjoying the surrounding natural beauty.
Just off the main road, access is simple and well indicated on Google maps. You could look out for Tarmachan Café and Faunoran will be just across the road from there. We would recommend our guests to travel by car, as there is close to no public transports around Faunoran. There is a large private parking in front of the house which can accommodate multiple cars.
Access to the house will be arrange over messages. We will share with you where to find the key lockbox and the code to access the box prior to your arrival.

In the kitchen: We ask that you leave the cooktops and ovens in the same condition you found them, so the next guests can also enjoy a clean, well-maintained space.
