Welcome to one of the most desirable properties on Big Star Lake, a beautiful all-sports lake located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest.

This guest house has two bedrooms (1 queen/2 twins), a full bathroom with tub/shower, living room with gas fireplace and brand new kitchen with spectacular views of the lake. It also features a 28' x 12' screened lakefront porch, the perfect spot for your morning coffee or evening cocktail. The sugar-sand beach is perfect for kids, with a slow grade into beautiful Big Star waters. Enjoy swimming, sunning, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful wildlife in this tranquil setting.

The guest house rents with the main house during summer months (May 27-Sept 1), and otherwise can be rented on it's own or with the main house. Guest House sleeps 4 and Main House sleeps 14. Collectively, this 5 bedroom/4 bath, 2 dwelling property is the perfect setting for family & friends to come together and make amazing memories.

First Family Vacation

The guest house was perfect for our family stay. When we first got there, there was a sweet card and cocktail mixer to thank for booking. The home was very well maintained and stocked with all that was needed for our stay. The property was very clean. The view from the windows was gorgeous! Wonderful to be able to walk right out to the beach. It was quiet and comfortable during the evenings. Communication with the owner was very easy and gave detailed directions on getting to the home. She also allowed us to the deck during our stay for family meals as no one was in the main house. Thank you for the care and attention you give to the details and cleanliness of your home. Will be booking again in the future!
