After a long day at the beach, vacationers in the know will accept nothing less than the CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS. This large oceanfront home spans a prime Kinnakeet Shores lot and provides first class accommodations for the Captain and Crew. The ground level has a large parking area and fish cleaning station. The first level has four large bedrooms and 2 baths. kingids will appreciate the bunk room with TV/DVD. The second level great room has rich furnishings, high cathedral ceilings, fragrant wood accents, and windows with super oceanfront views. The large kitchen, breakfast bar and dining area are designed to make dinners a breeze. A large oceanfront master bedroom with bath and privacy deck allow the Captain and First Mate commanding views. Private hot tub room with TV provides outstanding ocean and sound views. Try the CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS for a beautiful cruise.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically.


Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

Clean house, quiet neighborhood

We stayed here the week after a hurricane came through. We had absolutely the best week with sunshine every day. The house is very easily accessible and Less than a half mile from Food Lion. It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and is very quiet and private. When we arrived it was very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked and we cooked and had a boil and had no shortage of materials. The walkway to the beach is semi-private, and although this is ocean front, you do have to walk a bit and then up and down over the stairway over the dunes. The air conditioning unit is zoned (loved this) and we had plenty of room. The interior itself could use a deep cleaning. The house is very pretty on the top floor, but the vaulted ceiling beams and fan blades were incredibly dusty. There is some paint chipping, the door locks all need tightened, and new carpet on the steps would go a long way. Overall we would stay here again. We had four adults and six kids under 7. The location, privacy, and layout of the house outweighed any negative minor things that didn't affect our trip.

Best location, best view

Captain's Quarters offers panoramic view of ocean from the decks and interior of home, and beach is easy walk. There is plenty of seating available, and even the hot tub has a view. The decor and furnishings are pleasant and comfortable, and the kitchen has everything one needs to cook for a crowd. There are plenty of bedrooms and baths, and nice shower area and fish cleaning station outside. The baggage lift was a lifesaver as the home has a lot of stairs. The neighborhood is right across street from a Food Lion and other shopping...super convenient. Unfortunately, we only got two days before we had to evacuate. The Red Sky trip interuption insurance was well worth the price!
