We had such a wonderful stay at this beach property. The new owners are absolutely amazing—responsive, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about creating a great guest experience. We can’t wait to see what they do with the place and will definitely be renting again.

Gorgeous & well-maintained home! Excellent communication from the new owners Frank & Lauren. Minor issues with some things not available/broken in the house (from prior owners) but notified new owners & they were quick to respond & mitigate. The walk to beach is perfect and on a quiet street, perfect for my children ranging from 17-4 years old. Front decks were so relaxing with lovely views of the ocean and the side semi-enclosed porch was perfect for the evening sunsets. Plenty of family board games, Xbox games, and movies. The house was cleaned perfectly and waiting for our early arrival. The proximity to Food Lion is less than 1 minute making grocery shopping super convenient. We look forward to seeing what changes/improvements are completed and we will absolutely be back again!

The house sold after I booked our vacation in March. Fortunately, the process to rebook with the new owner was not as stressful as I thought. There were some issues that needed tweaking but in the end, everything worked out. The new Host is very friendly and made sure all the original booking prices were kept the same. A grill was listed as an amenity but none was on the property. Everything else was the same as when we have stayed in the past. This home needs a couple of things replaced, and repaired and hopefully the new owners will take care of them. We will stay at Southern Charm again in the future as long as the weekly rate isnt raised too high. This is a cottage and is a much smaller home compared to the other homes on Ocean View Drive. It is the right size for us (4 adults, 2 children). Use of the community pool is also nice, which is a short drive. This was the 3rd year in a row we have stayed at Southern Charm. Affordability and convenience are what makes this home perfect for us.

We were one of the initial renters after the new owners purchased the property. Their communication was phenomenal, and they were great hosts who honored our previous rental arrangements. What truly impressed us was that they checked in with us during the week and solicited our honest feedback for ways that they could improve the home and experience. We supplied them a plethora of items, although they were small “nice to haves”, as the home was absolutely beautiful and well appointed as it was. The house itself is literally 45 steps from the beach, a perfect location. If you have small children, family members who can’t get around well, or you just want a short walk to the beach this is the house for you. The grocery store is a couple of blocks away, Avon is a cute, quiet community! The pool is also very easy to access, and is not very busy and very clean. Our party consisted of four adults and three teenage girls, and I have to say that every single one of us was absolutely pleased and impressed with the stay, plenty of privacy, but lots of opportunity to interact. There are plenty of beach chairs & an umbrella, beach, toys, beach towels, bathroom towels, you do not need to bring a thing! Seafood market was phenomenal, you cannot go wrong with this location, book it now! PS: bring bug spray, the mosquitoes were not nice in early August! (Only disclaimer!) Enjoy!
