I feel saddened by my son and my experience on a four night stay as I worked at the hotel 35 years ago the room we were given seemed to be in the staff quarters building which I don’t have a problem with apart from it being poorly maintained the bathroom floor was all uneven And when first entered the room the beds looked unmade the staff that we encountered were friendly but just a lack of them there were other issues also that I would class as petty that I would say are petty but mostly down to as I said staff shortages so sadly I would not revisit any time soon

Some of our parties rooms were a little dated and the pillows were hard and lumpy but other than that could not fault a thing. It was so convenient for going into Aviemore and had great on site facilities for kids.

Facilities for kids entertainment is good however if you get coins stuck in the game machines don’t expect to get it back as no one seems to have keys to retrieve them. Staff don’t appear to like working with public and get flustered very easily and make mistakes, also swear directly in front of children. Then when you make them aware they make it out that it’s your fault and are very argumentative and/or cheeky towards you. All in all we won’t be staying again!

We were a family of 3. Originally booked 2 x double bed room, on arrival we got upgraded to a 2 bedroom double bed and bunk bed room, which our son was happy with. The room needed updating and refreshed. Two lights out in the bathroom, which made it very dull, as there is no window for natural light. It was a very busy hotel, we tried to access pool, having to put our name on the waiting list, which didnt work for us. Location was fantastic for walks and attractions. Our son (12) found it boring at night as the kids entertainment closed at 6pm, ie Adventure golf & arcade. Overall our stay was good with having lots to see around the area, however the hotel itself really needs more going on at night.

Good hotel for kids but could be improved

Very slow check in, took almost an hour. Slow service in restaurant also but staff were all very nice just seemed not enough of them. Pool was good but paying for towels is disappointing when paying what we did for bed and breakfast. Parking was not easy with many cars parked atrociously. Restaurant buffet dinner was quite poor options and expensive for what it was. Breakfast was a lot better but I've been a lot of places that do it a lot better for the price paid.

Basic and tired

Fantastic facilities, especially for kids but all a bit tired and dated. Only 1 of the pools was open for a chunk of our stay resulting in long waits to get in. The bedroom was very basic, almost dorm like. The bar staff were very harassed and didn't seem to want to be there, one guy even rolled his eyes at me! Next time I'll stay closer to the Aviemore action.

Area of this this resort was excellent but room and clean is very debatable. It wasn’t a very clean and room stinky. There was a really bad smell smell carpet was quite dirty they’re don’t do any room service every daybut resort view excellent
