The facility was clean and i had a relaxing experience. Our room was serviced on a daily basis. The shops and food outlet were in walking distance. The hotel's restaurant makes one of the best burgers I have ever had. Will definitely stay there next time. The only reason why i marked the staff down was because i did not like how a young Pakeha receptionist called us as we were walking to our car if we paid our room when that should of been handed over by her previous colleague. She was also the same person that opened our door when we were sleeping on our first day for no good reason at all. It made me wonder whether she does this to all the other customers as well and not just us. Our experience was quite positive and enjoyable despite that poor treatment.

The guest room we were staying in is in the renovated part of the hotel, which is otherwise historical and it feels it. The room is connected to a public verandah (also connected to a conference room and another guest room) and it was nice to just sit there watching the street below when nobody else was there. The room is on the main street of this small town and is close to the train station but soundproofing is surprisingly good.
