Clean room, as per the norm for all Japanese hotels. Very modern and spacious room. Great location as you can walk to Atami Station in less than 5 minutes. Because of it's local near Atami Station, you are close to everything - shops, restaurants, transportation, etc. Our room is in the back that faces the train tracks. Surprisingly you can't hear the trains even though they rain close. If you are a rail fan like me ask for the back. It was a pleasant surprise!

I’d say it was very convenient for a 2-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was done daily. The check-in process was easy — I did it through a self-service machine and received my room key immediately. I was surprised at how close it was to Atami Station (a 5-minute walk) and right next to the car rental center where I dropped off my car. Since it’s quite close to the station, there are plenty of eateries around, and there’s also a Family Mart just across the street.

Overall a nice hotel, room was nice although odd choice for bare concrete parking garage ceiling. Having Alexa controls would have been nice but it only rarely worked even when using the prompts provided. We ended up just watching Netflix on my phone instead. The self check in thing was a bit annoying, I greatly would have preferred a person to do the check in. The free breakfast from the coffee shop was pretty bad, it's a very limited menu and is often gone if you don't get down there right away, it really was a downside and I would have been fine if it wasn't included

Convenient for the train station, not the beach

Modern, clean, and conveniently located close to the train station. This hotel strikes a good balance if you want something affordable but also professional and reliable. If you're coming for the beach, beware that you're either catching a bus or making a long, exhausting hike up a steep hill from the beach back to the hotel. Not easily walkable, especially in the hot Japanese summers! Staff was able to accommodate English.

Prince Smart Inn Atami was perfect for a 2 night stop over by the sea during my Japanese holiday, i used the hotel for a seaside break on my way from Nagasaki to Tokyo. located conveniently for the bus/railway station and shopping. the rooms are stunning, very modern, comfortable and outfitted with all you need for a short stay. my only slight comment is if your tastes are western for breakfast, this may not be for you as the breakfast was traditional Japanese, with no western option (but that is a me problem, not a hotel problem), there is a 7-11 3 minutes walk away though. all in all, an amazing, modern, hotel conveniently located. book it; you won't be dissapointed.
