This was an extraordinarily delightful hotel stay. The Front Desk was friendly and efficient. The lobby was warm and inviting with places for us to sit and talk with our friends. The elevator was prompt and efficient and took us right away to our fourth floor room. We had a room overlooking the street and could watch the excitement below related to the Halloween activities. our friends had a glorious room that looked out in the direction of the bridge and the mouth of the Columbia river. The room was very charming and it’s decor with a electric fireplace was delightful. A heated floor in the bathroom, was an unusual treat. The room was very clean, and the linen was delightfully, soft and abundant. For a hotel room of the size I thought the refrigerator that was available was very generous. There was also a microwave and a coffee pot. One of the tv lines of the hotel is “wonderful bed“ I agree with this entirely. The bed and it’s linen was superb. Overall, this was an A+ experience, and the price was extraordinarily friendly. Free parking is available a few steps away, and the hotel itself this in the middle of the downtown area, where all the restaurants and shops were located It was also only two blocks from the wharf and all the activities associated with it in Astoria. I recommend this hotel 100%

Hotel breakfast is always a vit minimal. The Elliots is better than most, but a challenge for vegans. That said, I love the hotel's charm, authentic restoration and location. The staff is great. I'll definitely be back again.

we love the Hotel Elliott but the front desk service awful. First the clerk is hidden behind a computer monitor and did not greet us. We told her we were checking in and she said we couldn't check in til 3:00pm (it was 2:45pm), I asked if we could take care of the paperwork and she said check in was at 3:00pm. We come back and again no greeting etc. The next day we asked about a late check out. She said no check out is at noon and I replied that is why I am asking. She said it was not available even though we have had late check outs before. When checking out no questions about how our stay was etc. So I called the manager the next day and said I wasn't going to write a public review but explained my displeasure. He was replying with the "uh-huh" of someone not listening but appears to be listening. I finally called him on it and he admitted that he was paying attention to other matters. So here we have it: my public review. There are lots of nice hotels to stay at in Astoria. Too bad the Hotel Elliott isn't interested in keeping our business

I really enjoyed my room and the rooftop patio the most. The bed was really comfortable, the staff was always helpful, nearly every night I would go up to the rooftop patio and watch the sun go down. The hotel was directly across the street from TPaul's Supper club, and the food their was really good. Anything else I wanted to do in Astoria was within walking distance.

The Elliott is an older, historic-type hotel but the room was not musty like some older hotels are, and the bed was very comfortable. We had one issue with the blinds in the bathroom not coming down, but we were up high enough that we weren't too worried about anyone seeing in. LOL Breakfast option was quite limited so we ate elsewhere.

The air conditioner had gaps around it so gnats were in room. No shower gel. We reserved a king room and received a queen due to the reservation was lost/cancelled. We could hear people walking up and down stairs at night. The rooftop was great!

Great Hotel

We had a fantastic time as always. At hotel Elliott. We got a very nice room. The view over the city and I love the rooftop fireplace. We had many good conversations with other guests up there. The two evenings we were there. They have a great breakfast, the lady in charge of breakfast was a little unfriendly, doesn't smile but everything else was great and we will be back
