The shower side if the bathroom door looked like black mold was on it, The vanity faucet leaked water onto the counter, the bathroom door rubbed on the tile floor in the shower side, paint chipping off walls by the beds. and the toilets are way too tight to the wall that so much so that you are actually rubbing up against the wall. Now outside the east exterior stair stringer is rotten to the core, I took pictures in case anyone want proof. be careful. We had booked for 2 nights and after the first night we tried to check out and were told that because we went thru a booking agency they could not refund the 2nd night. So we ended up paying over $600.00 for one night .

Our room was comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious. We have been traveling for two weeks and have stayed in many hotels along the way. We commented that the breakfast we had here was the best we’ve had. The location to our stop to visit the Apostle Islands was great and the price very reasonable.

Short toilets in the room. Outside I would think better seating to watch the lake. One photo showed a deck over the lake it was from the second floor and small. Another waffle maker so guests don’t feel rushed.

I'm 6 foot, 5. The shower head was shoulder height for me. The room smelled a little musty. Otherwise it was comfortable and breakfast was good.

The hotel was pretty worn down… we figured it would be, but more than we thought. The floor in our room was really uneven and the mattresses were too small for the stands. For the money, it wasn’t a good deal.

Our room didn't have an inside access to the swimming pool which was very disappointing. Toilets sat too low making them harder to get back up from. There were only 2 places to hang towels in the bathroom. Please install more towel holders in your bathrooms. Scrambled eggs container was empty as was pancake maker and it took 10 to 15 minutes before they were refilled.

There is a quiet simplicity to this property nestled on the shore of Gitche Gummee (Lake Superior) It seems ideal for a family excursion emphasizing natural beauty and outdoor activity. What the hotel lacks in amenities: adjacent restaurant closes at 8 pm, skeletal staff, and isolation, it breaks even on rural isolation and aquatic charm.

Room was clean and quiet. They could use an update but everything was very clean. We asked for a cot and they brought a twin bed on wheels. Breakfast was good and a nice value for the price. Nice view of the lake. I would stay here again.

There was a leak in the bathroom and we told the front desk twice. Nobody came to inspect or fix it. The leak would drip on the toilet. It was a beautiful area and will be back - just not in room 106.
