Thursday we had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed outstanding Tomato Bisk soup followed by great bread pudding. We asked our server about being able to have the same dinner Friday evening and learned he’d be taking his kid out for Halloween but soup and desert would be on the menu. Friday evening we were surprised to see the restaurant closed and that our tiny 2ice creams & 2 chips bags set us back $30. We understand there could be staffing issues due to Halloween. Having to pay $8.00 per snack item with a $2 discount didn’t seem appropriate when dining service we were expecting wasn’t available.

Staff was great. Shawn at the bar-- busier than a one-legged man at an ass-kicking contest, yet kind and courteous. Front desk staff, all housekeeping staff... Breakfast not included. Reservation for two queen beds, gave us room with a king bed. While the sheets were awesome, the comforter was too hot/heavy - a light weight blanket would have been nice.

I booked this place solely for the view in this picture. That view doesn’t exist. I was pretty frustrated to be honest. This wasn’t really convenient for us but I wanted that view. Be aware.
