Felt like we hit it out of the park at the resort. Super laid back and on one of the best and most beautiful beaches on the pacific side. Breakfast was great, bars had fun drinks, pool was spacious and great for the kids… and again, proximity and location to the beach was the highlight. Results were like the pictures and the staff was accommodating and friendly.

Overall we had a good stay. What I loved was the chicken alfredo at the italian restaurant, the service and friendliness of the staff (I have never commented on service in my life as it's not a priority for me, but they were just so friendly and helpful, it really stood out), and the safety of the area. What I didn't like was no bacon at breakfast, they don't supply drinks in the mini fridge (we did ask for extra sodas while we were eating that we took back to the room), and the beach is across the street (it's a small road with zero traffic, so it was close and safe). I am used to staying in all inclusive resorts in cancun and cozumel, so that's what I'm comparing this place to. It was much much smaller, but I still didn't want for anything except a soda at night and bacon at breakfast. Everything else was easily accessible, and it was a pleasant experience.

Absolutely loved Margaritaville!!!! The resort is beautiful, the beach is amazing, and the swim up bar is the best!!! We spent 4 nights here and had amazing time. We played tennis in the evenings, the game room was a super fun way for my family to have some friendly ping pong tournaments and the rooms were very nice, Only negative thing i would say is the double beds are not big enough for 2 adults.

My husband and I stayed at Margaritaville for part of our recent trip to Costa Rica. The hotel was clean and the pool area was lovely, but it is quite small so we could see it being very packed during busy months and people may find it difficult to get a sunbed. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Customer service was very inconsistent - some staff members were lovely but others could be quite rude and dismissive. We had the all inclusive package and it was quite refreshing to not have a buffet for every single meal. The food was good, however the menus are quite small so it could quickly become boring if you stayed for longer than 4-5 nights. We booked a sunset boat tour with the hotel which was excellent - we would definitely recommend this if you are staying here: the boat staff were very friendly and helpful, and the tour itself was wonderful.

The resort was great overall. We loved the location on the beach and a few steps to dining and shopping options. It took us a day or two to sort out the pool towel replacements as the hours of operation are fairly limited. When open, the beach umbrellas were a great touch. They could use a few more beach chairs though as there is only a handful. Our family felt safe and got to enjoy the Costa Rica sun and sand.
