Apartment Hotel in Central High Pyrennees
Good location, clean simple apartment accommodation. Arreau good base for high Pyrennees. However, about to be sold by Atrium Group so very few bookings and services obviously winding down (mid July 2009) so likely to be under new ownership thereafter

Not all we expected although facilities good
We picked this hotel to give us the independence we needed as we are vegetarian and finding the right place to eat can be difficult. Let me say on the plus side that the kitchen facilities were good and there was a handy dryer in the bathroom for wet bathing suits. The swimming pool was enjoyable with views of the hills. What did astonish us was to be asked on arrival if we wished to hire sheets. She then said 'oh you booked through the internet so that's included'. We were given clean sheets to make up the beds, but when we went to do so were overwhelmed by the smell of old sweat from the undersheets/mattress cover. We had to ask them to change the undersheet. Later that night when we made up the sofabed the same problem emerged but it was too late to contact reception. Obviously due to the hotel policy of charging extra for clean sheets some guests decide to sleep on the mattress cover alone and this is not checked when the rooms are cleaned. Apart from this, the rooms were okay but this is not what you expect or want, to be assailed by the smell of sweat from used sheets. We would not return to this hotel.

couldnt have asked for more, request to upgrade room for the beautiful view was dealt with promptly and courtiously. parking was secure everything as expected. would not hesitate to go back
