In Évora you can find a lot of monuments dating from various historical periods, including a Roman temple, because of its historic center preserved. Évora is still partially surrounded by medieval walls.
The town of Arraiolos is famous for its embroidery wool rugs (typical of the region) with centuries of history and that are made since the Middle Ages.
Arraiolos has many places of interest including the castle of Arraiolos, one of the few circular castles in the world.
