Peaceful and Gorgeous Retreat in Basque Country

This is the most lovely place in the French Pyrenees Basque country and excellent choice for staying just outside of St.-Jean-Pied-de-Port. I felt so welcomed, comfortable and relaxed. I loved hearing the sound of the river from my room. Gorgeously decorated and appointed. Marie-Flore & Bapstiste are the owners who are very kind, vibrant and available. As a solo explorer, this was a jewel of a find for me. I also enjoyed meeting a pilgrim of the Camino who was taking her one-night rest here. She's from Paris. Me from California but living in Mexico. Very fun!

An excellent place to stay for holidays in the Pyrénées with a car, whizzing around the Camino De Santiago. The staff are very kind and helpful - the place is run by a young couple who own the place. They maintain the property and serve the guests themselves. They're wonderfully kind and friendly, offering recommendations of places to visit, tourist destinations and things to do. There is breakfast of local produce which is included in the price and can be taken outside on the nice little balcony facing the stream. The sound of the stream is lovely, like white noise in the background, and it is refreshing to be by the water, particularly in thr heatwave. There is no AC but there are fans in each room which provide enough cooling to sleep well. The windows also have shutters which keep the heat out well during the day. In the evening, you can opt in to have tapas dinner which costs extra - homemade croquettes and other local produce, including local sheep cheese aged to varying degrees. Overall, a fantastic, peaceful and quaint stay with the friendliest of hosts.

Très bel hébergement, où vous vous sentez de suite comme chez vous avec la gentillesse de ses hôtes. Super petit déjeuner avec des produits locaux, tapas et assiettes le soir faits maisons qui vous réconfortent après une journée à découvrir les alentours. Ne pas hésitez à aller découvrir cet hébergement.

Une très belle decouverte !

Excellent endroit. Hotel rénové, calme, isolé, joliment décoré oú nous avons réservé pour une nuit à la dernière minute. Tapas maisons et produits locaux excellents pour se restaurer le soir. Petit dejeuner complet avec des produits maisons et produits artisanaux de la region. Super conseils rando, les hôtes (Baptiste, Marie-Flore) sont aux petits soins Une superbe adresse pour se mettre au vert.
