These old East German apartments, well located directly above Hitler's bunker are large but sparse. A long walk from check in to your apartment. The stairwells smelt of stale tobacco. Washing machine, no washing powder, coffee machine, no filters or coffee, kitchen no sink plug, no basics eg: salt, pepper etc, however overall enjoyed this East Berlin apartment.

Great location, maintenance and cleanliness issue

Absolutely fantastic location, really easy to get to anywhere you need to go, walking or on several types of public transport. Accommodation itself is very dated and cleanliness was not great. I can't tell whether the properties are centrally managed or whether it is individually owned and people move out for guests, I can't seem to upload pictures to illustrate my issue with cleanliness and maintenance.

It was a large apartment with a comfy bed and it was lovely and warm. The location was in easy walking distance to the Brandenburg Gate, the Jewish memorial and in the opposite direction the Berlin mall. We did have an issue with our shower drain the first night, we reported it in the morning and by the evening it was fixed. We would stay there again.

Excellent modern decorated apartment for a self catering holiday. Large supermarket very nearby. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff, with special mention for Almamy. Very close to attractions and public transport but quiet for an inner city location. Be aware that the apartment building is across 2 blocks but the furthest are not very far to walk from the check in office

SCAM OF A "HOTEL"

I arrived just a few minutes after 6 and the lobby was CLOSED. What kind of hotel closes their lobby at 6PM?! My train was late or I would have been their earlier. I knocked and this guy was able to take me to this lock box, handed me a set of keys and paper map that was barely readable in the light much less as it waa starting to get dark. This isn't a hotel but a sprawling two to three block collection of old soviet buidings SOME of which belong to the apartments and some that don't. So here I was in a country I've never been to whose language I didn't speak as well I thought I did having rolling panic attacks after their employee left me in the dark to fend for myself. He even saw me having this panic attack and did nothing. I called emergency number MULTIPLE times and nothing. I called Hotels.com to have them help me find another hotel - I'm crying, hyperventilating, clearly distressed and NO help. I had to find a REAL hotel on my own through my panic and PAY extra I wasn't expecting for it. Now both the apartments AND Hotels.com are REFUSING to refund my money after the emotional turmoil and suffering they put me through. Oh and even though I never stayed there I got a mysterious $26 charge from the apartments too the day after I left Berlin. This will be a stain on the memories of this trip Go with a trusted brand of a REAL hotel but stay FAR away from this place. And if they want me to take this down and go away they can refund my money!

Highly recommend this property spotlessly clean great location for all the major things to see and all in walking distance. Well equipped and furnished. Super value Communication was a little poor at times but everything worked out fine in the end If your going to Berlin you will struggle to find a better all rounder

Very comfortable well located apartment

A very spacious, comfortable, well equipped, clean apartment. The heating was set perfectly, we were cosy after long walks around the city. The location was excellent, shops, restaurants and transport all within a 5 minute walk. Advice for future guests, bring shampoo, soap, toilet paper, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee etc, none of these basics are provided, nor indeed were they advertised as being provided. I would highly recommend.
