This property is convenient for travel. The room was outdated and felt dirty and old. The bathroom also needs updating. The TV's plug and wire were across the room to an outlet and the TV did not turn on with the remote control. We were disappointed in this Holiday Inn.

Old dried up blood stain on mattress, door was damaged as if someone tried to knock it in or pried it open. When I went down to the front desk to change my room I noticed a dead cockroach right at the edge of the check in table/booth I am not sure what to call it. The room they moved us to was better, meaning no blood or broken doors but at that point the standard was on the floor.

The place is just run down and needs a renovation. Drapery was not hung properly. Bathroom was a shoe box. Only 1 out of 2 elevators were working. Staff was friendly.

It is 3AM and I am unable to sleep because of the lack of Air conditioning in the room. Let me start with the check in. Derek was excellent- he was the only great part of this experience. He was friendly and welcoming. The check in process was fabulous. We ate dinner at the restaurant. As we entered, there was no one to greet us so after pacing around, we inquired from others at the restaurant on the process and was told to seat ourselves. There was only one employee who was in the restaurant. Poor thing. She was a bartender, a waitress, a cleaner, a server, a hostess . . . She had to do it all. This review isn’t based on the employee but the brand- the hotel and it's management. Cutting corners will destroy a good name brand hotel and this experience shows that. We waited 40 minutes+ to be served.Food was mediocre. Price was good and portion size was big. As we walked into the hallway into our room, the smell of musty, sweaty odor penetrated through every wall in the hotel. There was a lack of air conditioning throughout the hotel- my guess was management was cutting costs. No bottled water- just a plastic dispenser with ice and cups in the lobby for thirsty guests. Water tasted weird. Solution- maybe a vending machine or 2? Or- if management is cutting cost they may not want vending machines to add to their electric bill 🙄 I can't sleep 😕 😫 It's too hot. I have always trusted holiday inn but I will never visit this location again. Read the reviews before you do

One night stay, not the cleanest

The staff was okay, preoccupied with each other rather than us checking in. Once entering the room it seemed nice, no smell or anything of that nature. Went into the bathroom and needed to clean the shower head, as it was covered with black gunk. The pool was closed suddenly without notice. The towels in our room were dirty and one of them was stained with blood

We asked staff to put the pool warmer they didnt want to also ask for towels at the poop and he literally only gave us ONE when there was more then ONE PERSON in the pool.

Overall it was a good stay. They had a shuttle that went back and forth to Mohegan Sun which was very helpful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only two things that weren’t great was the pool was pretty chilly even once you were in it for awhile. And the elevator was frustrating because one of the two weren’t working and the one that was took FOREVER!!!!
