Cozy, family run hotel (with a very cute house dog). Small but comfy and clean rooms, and close to slopes. Great food and drinks in the bar downstairs. Would definitely stay again.

I booked the top floor room in the attic - on reflection, if I were to do it again, I would choose a lower floor. The ceiling is very low in places and it took two bumps to my head before I learned not to walk in parts of the room. It’s nicely appointed though. If you do end up in room 8 - a tip if you are on the right side of the bed under the low ceiling - get out of the bed at the foot where the ceiling is higher, not to the side! Breakfast was buffet style and we found plenty to eat. If you have a car, the reserved spaces we were sent to were in a very tight garage a couple of levels below grade. You may want to walk it and find the spot before just driving in. There is a traffic light system to stop you going down the ramp when someone else is coming up. Also be aware that there is no elevator and you will need to carry your bags up. It’s a good hotel with friendly owners and staff right by the river in the middle of town. When we visited in September their bar was closed. We enjoyed a traditional Swiss fondue at the Hotel Sonne restaurant down the street.

Very nice boutique hotel and a very good conversion of an older property. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from guests walking on the floor above our room. The shower head also did not work.

A real gem!

Wow! Total gem of a hotel run by wonderful friendly people. We loved the breakfast spread with eggs cooked to taste and had an amazing dinner in the bar too. Andermatt was our absolute highlight on our 3 weeks in Switzerland. Off the scale when it comes to beautiful walks and scenery and really well connected. Thanks for having us we loved every minute.

Great personal touches

Fantastic hotel. A real home from home. Hosts are so welcoming. Super breakfast and a great menu for our evening meal too. Andermatt lovely to walk round. Car was parked (we paid) opposite and underground so really secure. Dog bed and treats for our dog too.

A romantic stay

We had an amazing stay, the room was comfortable with a big bed and beautiful soft pillows, lots of windows and light, very nice bathroom with a big bath and shower. The restaurant food was fresh and delicious, breakfast was also delicious with homemade yogurt, local cheese, eggs the way you like and different fresh breads. A perfect stay.
