Second stay at the property. Very welcoming hotel and lovely breakfast included. It's within walking distance of Alnwick town centre. Rooms clean and nicely decorated. Ample parking onsite and overall an excellent place to stay! We will be returning again later in the year!

Very good small hotel. We enjoyed a lovely pub meal and friendly service when we stayed. Breakfast was a bit disappointing with the full range of buffet items unavailable eg cheese and cold meats. The waitress was clearly not familiar with the menu. Room was small but very suitable for the night. Parking was good and it was very dog friendly with a separate dog menu. I would recommend it and would not hesitate to return.

Lovely big room and bathroom, shame about the very compact shower cubicle and that the shower water temperature wasn’t very constant

The location of the hotel, the standard room we were given were just right for us. We particularly liked the ceiling fan which provided much needed cooling. So much better eco friendly than air-conditioning. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly and the food was excellently cooked with plenty to choose from. Go hungry to do the food justice. Drinks and food prices offer good value. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we'd heartily recommend a stay there to anyone.

Good sized room and bathroom. Ceiling fan was very welcome on the hotter nights! Shower cubicle was a bit small but it was sized to fit into an alcove. All staff we met and interacted with were brilliant; very friendly and happy. Breakfast was good, particularly the cooked options. Continental / cold offerings were a bit limited with no evidence of some of the items listed on the menu (cold meats and cheeses). Parking was a bit limited especially after returning from a day out on the Sunday as many non-residents use the hotel's restaurant / bar area for meals. The Sunday roasts looked fabulous and very good value. We would have liked to try but, unfortunately, we just missed the 7pm cut-off time.

This is the best room i have stayed in within this kind of setting. I booked a single budget room. It was brilliant. Very large room with a small double bed in it , much better than a single bed. Lovely bedding. Lovely spacious bathroom with fabulous products.no need to bring your own. Great brands of tea, coffee and biscuits. At breakfast i ask ed for mine to be cooked well done however it came back with pale bacon and sausage. All i ate was the egg. However their was lovely berries, greek yoghurt and toast with choice of jams etc. I would still recommend this place .

Great, friendly staff and easy to park and the room was a good size for a single. Only marked as 3/5 as room was above the kitchen extractor fans which were only turned off between 9.30 - 6.00. So if you book as a single remember the earplugs! Would happily return but maybe check booking to ensure it’s not that end of the hotel. Gluten free options well catered for at breakfast but evening options are limited.
