We had to be at the airport by 4am, so this was the ony choice for us. Great for an overnight stay. A little pricey for a simple room but very convenient if you have an early flight! Hotel lobby was beautiful and staff were very friendly. Could have used a little more information in regards to where stuff was located in the hotel on arrival. Room service was good.
This guesthouse only had 4 rooms and is owned by a lovely Thai couple who made sure you experienced all you could. I was greeted after a long hot walk on arrival with an icy cold flavoured soda. The male owner has passable English but this doesn't stop him from making sure you know how to do what you want to do during your stay. He will transport you to the local bus station for your daytrips, and even communicate with the local bus companies so you can buy the right ticket and get on the right bus (there is no English to help you in this regard if you are on your own). Even down to what time you should leave so you can get the most out of your day but not waste too much time waiting for buses etc. This was often on his little scooter but when you left the down with all your bags, he would drive you in his car. This was the best part of the stay - they way he made everything so much easier and convenient - and he didn't expect payment. He looked embarrassed when I gave him a tip for his lovely service.
The gardens are absolutely gorgeous - they obviously love their garden and area always found it in doing something. This made it a lovely place to relax and read a book if you wanted to.
The room was large and comfortable with efficient air-conditioning.
Breakfast was included which was good enough to keep you going.
Bangkok's major international port of call, Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), is a testament to the wonders of modern architecture and an example of the steps Bangkok is taking to establish itself as one of the major capital cities of the world. We offer Suvarnabhumi hotels to suit everyone's needs, regardless of the purpose or length of your stay.
Suvarnabhumi began operating in 2006 after being built on a reclaimed cobra swamp and now functions as one of Asia's busiest airports with a huge variety of airlines making use of the site; don't worry though the cobras are now long gone. In 2010 the much vaunted Airport Link opened which allows users to travel to and from the airport and central Bangkok on an elevated sky train. This link has now revolutionised travelling from the airport as the centre of the city can be reached in 15 minutes on the express route and this has opened up a number of possibilities for those staying in a Suvarnabhumi Airport hotel.
Not too far from Suvarnabhumi is Rajamangala Stadium which is often used by the Thailand national soccer team for home matches and recently has been graced by the likes of Liverpool FC and Atletico Madrid while both teams were on tour. Rajamangala seats almost 50,000 people and is a spectacle to behold when a big game is being played and it is highly recommended if you get the opportunity.
If you're visiting Bangkok for business and not pleasure, the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) is easily accessible from a number of our Suvarnabhumi Airport hotels. In the past BITEC has been used for world congresses and international trade exhibitions and is recognised as a fantastic facility. In total the site covers an area of over 272,000 sq. metres and is further evidence of Bangkok's continual development.
