Set in the Costa Vincentina National Park, with stunning views over the Amoreira Valley, you'll find our spacious 3 double bed roomed Villa.
The accommodation comprises of a spacious lounge diner, with a woodburner, a large fully equipped kitchen, 3 double bedrooms (2 with king size beds and one with twin beds), plus 2 shower/bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are situated on the first floor, with another double room on the ground floor with access to patio area.
There is a private pool (access can be restricted for small children), private garden, sun terraces and off road parking. There is outdoor seating, including a large table and chairs for outdoor dining on the rear sun terrace. In addition there is seating on the front terrace where you can catch the morning sun as it rises over the Monchique mountain range. Sunbeds are also provided.
There are some fantastic beaches close by - Monte Clerigo beach is on the doorstep (1 km) as is Amoreira beach, with Arrifana beach a short drive away. The local town of Aljezur is approx 7 km away which has the benefit of an Intermarche Supermarket, restaurants, cafes, banks and a local produce market. There is a cafe (O Oze) and a cafe/restaurant (O Sargo) at Monte Clerigo and the Restaurante Taberna do Gabriel II is a short walk along the path on the top of the cliff from the villa. There are further restaurants a short drive away at Vale de Telha, as well as a small supermarket. There is an Intermarche Supermarket in Aljezur itself, which is less than a 10 minute drive.

Fantastic villa for space and location
A lovely, clean, fully equipped and spacious villa. The location is quiet which was ideal for us, though only a short walk away from 2 beaches, and a short car journey to nearby Aljezur which is a sweet little town with shops, restaurants & cafes (including vegan ones) and a great indoor produce market. The listing is entirely accurate, and communication with Jill both prior to our stay, and during, was excellent. We had such a great holiday, thanks Jill.

Beautiful part of the world
Had a great two week stay in this peaceful part of Portugal. The villa was very clean & well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Pool is lovely. Great communications with the hosts.
Local area is very quiet, with stunning scenery It’s only a short walk to Monte Clerigo beach, which is wonderful, although it’s quite a steep walk back up the hill!! Aljezur is nice little town with good places to eat & a well equipped Intermarche.
This is a beautiful part of the world, which we hope to visit again one day, and we would very happily stay in this property again,

No 5 Espartal
Lovely well kept house in the quiet village of Espartal located within walking distance of sandy beaches and the Atlantic ocean and a 10 min drive to Aljezur
2 of us rented this 3 double bedroom villa everything there for 6 people and we didn't stray far from the pool.
My only criticisms would be that:
1) Check in should of been at 3pm and other than dropping off our bags we could not settle until 6.15 when the cleaners left. Not really a problem for us as we went into Aljezur fo a couple of hours, but I imagine a family might view this differently.
Secondly I reported a problem with the upstairs toilet on the Monday am and it was not attended until the Wednesday, again not a problem as there were just the 2 of us, a party of 6 might of viewed it differently
Overall we had a great week just chilling and we would thoroughly recommend this property

The Full Monte (Clérigo)
Jill's holiday Villa in Espartal is a spacious and well equipped family home.
With three bedrooms (two double and and twin), a shower room upstairs and a bathroom downstairs, large living/ dining space, fully equipped kitchen and a cracking pool out back.
I addition to the dinning table there is a breakfast area out front to catch the morning sun and an outside dining area to the rear of the property which is a sun trap in the evening.
The local area has some of the most spectacular (and underdeveloped) beaches we have ever seen in Europe.
My wife and I travelled with our two boys, age 14 and 13. The local beach, Monte Clérigo, is 1 Km from the villa and has a surf school (Aljezur experience). Both boys were confidently riding waves by the end of a week.
The house is about a 90 minute drive from Faro airport (Lagos is a 60 minute drive)
If you want a base for a excellent family holiday - away from the usual tourist sprawl of the Algarve then this villa will really fit the bill.

What a great place!
This villa is amazing! It was just perfect for our holiday! It had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean, great location, pool area was great, very comfortable seating area at the front of the villa for breakfast in the sun! Kitchen was very well equipped and everything was good quality. The lounge and dining area were very comfortable and spacious. The bedrooms were really nicely decorated and comfortable beds. Everything was great, couldn't fault it! We enjoyed the location - close to Aljezur, easy to find, and really peaceful with lovely views. We often walked to Monte Clerigo beach which we really enjoyed. Thoroughly recommend this property and it's owners. Thanks for a great week!

Fantastic gem to relax and enjoy Portugal
The instructions to get to the villa were perfect which isn’t always the case!
Sylvester was excellent at showing us around and guiding us to shops and restaurants.
The villa itself is very well equipped and layed out. The view from the front was impressive over to the lagoon, the kitchen was great and had everything you could ask for, the rooms were equipped to a high standard, very specious and well designed. And as for the pool, perfect to relax in after a day out then have a beer at the outdoor seating area.
The local small village had 3 places to eat and drink - we tried them all and each were excellent in their own way. I guess the only small downside was there wasn’t a shop we found within walking distance so get well stocked up when you’re out for the day! Aljezur is a great little town with a market and Intermarche - ideal before you make the climb back up the hill!
We walked to the 2 beaches locally. The one we had to wade through a small inlet to the lagoon, but it’s got a great bar/food and we hired wet suits/boards for €15 each for an hour - well worth it.
I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to get away from it all, relax, walk and have all the comforts of home with the benefit of sunshine!

Fantastic Villa
The villa is stunning both in location and facilities. inside is very spacious and the decor really nicely done, The swimming pool is a good size and lovely to have a dip after a day on the beach or out exploring. I loved this villa and this part of Portugal and I'd definitely like to visit both again - as soon as possible!!
