Casa do Vento - Old Town Charm in Aljezur
##Space
Right in Aljezur's Old Town, this apartment sits among the cobbled streets and whitewashed houses that climb the hillside below the old castle ruins. The town's shops, cafés and restaurants are a few steps from the door, and the surf beaches of the Costa Vicentina are a short drive away.
The living room is open and full of daylight, with large windows that keep the space bright through the day. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking proper meals, and the small dining area beside it gives you somewhere to sit down and eat together. Two bedrooms sleep up to four, each with a double bed, so it works just as well for a family as for two couples travelling together. The bathroom is simple and practical.
Outside, the patio is where you'll take your morning coffee, a slow lunch, or a glass of wine once the day cools down.
Aljezur is one of the Algarve's most unspoilt corners: a working Portuguese town wrapped in the Costa Vicentina natural park, with Arrifana, Monte Clérigo and Amoreira beaches all within easy reach for a day of sun and surf.
##Access
The entire apartment is yours during your stay for optimal privacy and space.
★ 2x double bed (140x200)
★ Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine
★ Electric wall heaters (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs)
★ Private patio facing south-east
★ WiFi
★ Linen and towels provided
➤ The apartment has a spiral staircase and is not well suited to guests with reduced mobility or very young children.
➤ We usually welcome families or responsible adults — this is a residential neighbourhood and we respect our neighbours. Parties and other disturbances are not accepted.
Please get in touch before booking if you're unsure this is the right fit.
##Interaction
This home is in the hands of Rental Valley, a property management team who work hard to ensure your stay is smooth and comfortable! We are available should you have any questions or requests during your stay.
From one week before arrival, we'll send you our rental guide. This holds all useful information to help you arrive safely and much more. So please read it carefully before your arrival and let us know if you need anything or have any questions.
##Neighborhood
Aljezur Old Town sits on a hillside above a creek, its streets narrow and unhurried. The moorish castle, the original village church, and the municipal museum are all within a few minutes on foot. The weekly market draws locals for fresh fish and produce, and is worth building a morning around.
From the old town, one road follows the creek down toward Amoreira beach, where a river meets the Atlantic at the edge of a dune landscape. The beach has a sheltered side along the river and an open ocean side used by surfers. Rocky pools line the far end. The area sits within the Costa Vicentina natural park, and the Fisherman's Trail and Vicentina Route both pass through Aljezur, with trailheads close by.
##Transit
A car is recommended. The town centre with cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and banks is around 5 minutes on foot, and the bus stop there connects daily to Lisbon and more frequently to Lagos. Faro Airport drive time needs Google Maps verification from the exact property address before publishing.
