Splendid stay at Cortijo Rica
Superb property for a peaceful and quiet getaway. The house was excellent, Jose was an excellent host, fresh eggs, his own olive oil from the surrounding groves and a lovely cake on arrival. Everything was great, we shall absolutely plan a return visit to such a perfect place.

Rural Paradise
If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is a rural paradise.
This, our first visit to Andalusia, was in the first two weeks in April 2024.
Every day was sunny and we enjoyed daytime temperatures in excess of 25C. Temperatures at night were as low as 12C and some form of heating may be needed.
The property is run by a young couple who are extremely helpful and friendly. During our stay they generously provided us with their locally produced olive oil, eggs from their hens and asparagus. They did not intrude but were happy to help with any queries and offered recommendations for tourist sights, restaurants, and places for shopping. We sampled all three of the recommended restaurants and they were truly very good indeed.
Unfortunately, the pool was not available to us and we were told that the water temperature would remain too low until mid May when the pool can be used for short periods. It was a great pity given the high daytime temperatures and in my opinion it would pay dividends to offer guests a heated pool as an option.
The property is pleasant, clean and well equipped. It is situated in an isolated location in a vast area covered in olive groves. Ideal for anyone seeking peace and quiet. That said the property is also home to two small cats that seek constant stroking. If you are not a cat person the best advice is to ignore them and eventually they will leave you alone.
The house is accessed by an unmade road/track which could be difficult to find but

Amazing, tranquil and the best rural location we've ever stayed at.
We have stayed intouch with our hosts as they were fantastic. This property and surrounding area is a dream. We will be booking again which is a first for us as we never go back a second time as we like to explore Spain.
The villa has everything you need for a great relaxing experience in a word, superb.

Wir haben uns sehr über die Einsamkeit der Finca gefreut. Es war herrlich, qausi ganz allein mit den Tieren und den fremden Geräuschen, die wir in der Stadt kaum wahrnehmen. Die Gastgeberfamilie ist mit Herz und Seele voll dabei. Ob wir Olivenöl brauchten oder Eier von den Hühnern die Gastgeberfamilie hatte immer ein offenes Ohr für uns. Wir haben auch ein paar Tipps für die nächsten Mieter... Unter der Nummer 0034 646572486 kommt jeden Tag circa 9.00 Uhr die
Panadera (Bäckerin) ins Dorf Santa Cruz del Comercio bei Ihr bekommt ihr Brot und Kuchen (Biscocho de Chocolate) der Hammer. Wer ins Dorf frühstücken will ( Plaza del Ayuntamiento) Mittwoch geschlossen... Zwei Café con leche und zwei halbes Toast mit Tomate y Aceite für circa Fünf Fünfzig Euro unschlagbar günstig. Fürs Abendessen schlagen wir Alhama de Granada vor. Dort findet ihr El Tigre, El Andaluz oder El Gallego wo mann gut essen gehen kann. Zum Schluss Danken wir der Familie für alle ihre Mühen...Wir kommen bestimmt nochmals wieder......

Heel nette en rustig gelegen woning met een geweldige eigenaar!
Wij hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad eind februari 2020. Het huis is netjes en schoon en ruim ook de tuin / terrassen zijn netjes en schoon. De eigenaar (en zijn familie) zijn geweldige en behulpzame mensen. Dus top locatie!
