Close to family after a long day you can check straight in no faithin about rooms comfortable bar staff that check you on always welcome you and always ask how you are never bothered through out your stay the one thing I wasn't happy about 10.30 house keeping knocked and walked straight on has I was coming out of shower which I was really taking back by it but my day started ectic so actually didn't remember to contact hotel regarding this but other than that love staying at the boundary

Staff excellent but need more staff Waited a while for evening meal as short staffed Was a party on in function room so had a lot of music noise until midnight Shower very poor could do with an upgrade

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bedroom block is separate from the pub so you have to walk outside to get to breakfast. Not pleasant when raining and icy paths are not gritted. Bedroom window gets consensated and signs of mould on window frame.

Friendly people, arrived too late for food, but there's a decent Chinese right next door. Room and bathroom clean and spacious, slept well. Had a quick continental breakfast, very reasonable, cooked also available. Quick, friendly, good stay

Honestly felt like I had to write a review as it was a great stay. the Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and made the visit. They were extremely understanding when I made an error in my food choice and helped me pick something else, reassured me that the mistake was honest and were so polite about it. This is customer service at another level 10/10

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Basically a pub with some accommodation nearby. Reception is in the bar and I was greeted as “ buddy” by a chap in a football shirt who doubled as a barman. Then I had a walk in the rain to a nondescript building which is part accommodation, part something else, I know not what. The pub is basic with a pool table and Slot machines. I had asked for a room with a shower and I got a bath which at 85 I cannot use. The only positive was that the basic dreary room was clean . Daylight robbery at the price I paid

Room was a lovely size. Couldn’t fault the staff, they were very efficient , polite, friendly & helpful. Breakfasts were lovely and the meal we had in the pub, was very good, generous portions too.

Quiet and friendly

Friendly staff and a very large quiet room. Had very good night's sleep. The hotel is set in a suburban area away from the centre of Alfreton but it means it was very quiet with trees and a recreation ground behind. The staff were very helpful with a sense of humour. Made sure I had exactly what I needed for breakfast.
