This hotel was recently updated and was very funky - it looked great. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by service issues. We had to contact the desk three times to have someone address our non-flushing toilet. It stopped working again the morning we were leaving and luckily I had asked the last person who came to "fix" it what he did, and he showed me. There was loud music outside our room at night and in the morning. When I asked what the source of the loud music was outside the hotel at 7:30 am, I was told it was music coming from the outdoor pool and that I could use earplugs if it was disturbing me - keeping in mind that there was no one at the pool at 7:30 am. The hotel is trying to manage without phones and a texting system. When I texted my question about the loud music, I didn't receive a response for an hour.
Finally, there is valet parking at the hotel, in a fenced in parking lot right next to the hotel. You are able to let them know that you want your car via text, but it was unexplainably slow.
I booked this hotel based on the great reviews on Expedia, but when I went back and looked, there were only 16 reviews since the hotel re-opened after renovations. I get that maybe there are some glitches still to be worked out, but I would have been more sympathetic if someone had told me that upfront. Still, the toilet not working three days in a row is a dealbreaker for me.
Apart from all that, the staff people that we interacted with directly were lovely.
