Amazing built and tastefully decorated villa with swimming pool, games room, free and unlimited wifi, Satellite tv and air conditioning in all bedrooms and lounge and dining area, affording a privileged location 6 km west of Albufeira, in an exclusive and very peaceful housing estate. Due to its elevated location, it offers total privacy and enjoys beautiful views across the Salted golf course and the sand dunes to the sea. A truly special property for a special holiday!

We had a great stay at Villa Marazul. There were a few issues at the start of our stay (broken sunbed, missing air hockey disc, broken pool umbrella etc) but these were quickly sorted out by Afonso. The villa was very clean on our arrival and is very spacious, comfortable and well furnished. The air conditioning is very effective. Plenty of sunbeds and dinner seating for everyone. We all loved the pool area but be warned that night time sprinklers will soak anything left out on the washing line, sun beds etc. Also, that access to the pool is through the front double doors - remember to put the door key in the outside lock or you will get locked out. The spacious kitchen is well stocked with equipment, crockery and cutlery. However, absolutely nothing is provided in the way of basic condiments, kitchen roll, oil etc. Not even salt and pepper. You will need to shop for everything you are likely to need or bring from home. Only one toilet roll was provided in each of the bathrooms, but there was no handwash, soap, shampoo, shower gel etc. In these respects, we thought the amenities were lacking.Also, we followed the instructions in the villa handbook and put all the towels in the utility ready to be collected on the Wednesday. We subsequently found out that this does not happen during the summer months and ended up washing all the towels ourselves.All in all, a great choice for a family holiday but lacking the luxury touches.

Absolutely beautiful

Everything about this villa wonderful. It’s a lovely quiet area with a couple of lovely restaurants around the corner Super markets ie aldi is a half hour walk or 5 minutes drive away. We didn’t hire a car so just used taxi which we cheap enough. Old town is lovely which is a short drive away maybe 10 minutes Villa mora marina is maybe 25 minutes drive which has beautiful restaurants and super yacht s. The villa is massive , down stairs kitchen was very well equipped, bedroom s are very spacious and so are all the on suites The host Afonso was lovely and welcoming.All 11 of us definitely will return.

Great villa and location

We have stayed in this villa multiple times and will be booking again. It’s works really well for our large family group, with each bedroom being en suite, the games room and swimming pool are great for the children and teens. The location has got better over the years, as the area has developed. Choice of great restaurants within walking distance. Maria and Rui are quick to respond to any queries / issues (there was no toaster when we arrived and they were quick to provide a new one for us).

Family fun in the Algarve sun

This spacious and comfortable villa is an excellent base for a multi-national extended family like ours to come together, create delicious meals and great memories. The nearby village is well supplied with grocery stores and good restaurants. We enjoyed swimming in the lovely pool, walking at the beach and visiting local towns, coves and mountain springs. Fantastic holiday

Just returned from two weeks at Villa Marazul. We were a family party of 6 adults and four children aged 8-12. The villa was spacious, clean and was well equipped. We certainly made use of the dishwasher and washing machine! Lots of crockery, cutlery and glasses etc. only a two slice toaster but as we all tended to get up at different times this never posed a problem. Well furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The outside area is stunning the pool was well used as was the games room. I think the only thing that could have improved our stay would have been extra fridge space. There is a full sized fridge freezer in the kitchen but with 10 people trying to keep food, drinks, water and the odd bottle of beer cold we did have to move things around a bit. An extra fridge in the games room to store overflow water and drinks etc would have been very handy but this wouldn’t stop us returning. From start to finish our dealings with owner were excellent. He answered all our question beforehand promptly and patiently and also during our stay (thank you Afonso for being so understanding when the kids accidently locked the key to the games room inside) I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone. The location is excellent, the beach is walkable but if you’re going for the day there are carparks and road parking all free. Some lovely local restaurants and obviously lots in Albufeira and also Vale de Parra.

Good salt pool, But poor customer care.

The villa is beautiful, great pool and dining area. Minor issues with keys and door handles. Also the drive out to the main road is tricky- be careful! Just one poor point is that we left some clothing items behind, I asked the host to send them to me at my cost but he never replied to my request, very poor customer service! For this reason I would not return or recommend this property.

The property and location were excellent. All the facilities matched up to what all of our group expected. However sleeping was a nightmare as the neighbors left their dog out every night and it barked continuously ALL NIGHT!!

Great property for a family holiday

We all (8 adults and 4 children) loved this property - spacious and well laid out for a holiday villa. Very clean and with everything we needed for a comfortable week's stay. The pool was great and in constant use! We only needed to contact the owner once (the water supply was interrupted for a couple of hours) but he was straight on the case and it was soon sorted. A few tiny bits of minor maintenance needed - but nothing that an hour with a screwdriver and a packet of screws wouldn't fix. Good location about 5 minutes walk from the beach with several restaurants nearby. Overall - highly recommended. Well worth the money.

Fantastic villa for large family!

We have stayed in this villa before and have booked it again for next year - what more needs to be said… We travel as a group of 9, 6 adults and 3 children. The villa is a lovely size so there is plenty of space for everyone. The games room and pool are always well used by the children. The villa is clean and well maintained and the outside space is lovely. A short walk takes you into the local village and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from. A short drive to Gale beach - one of our favourites! The property owners live in another villa close by and are extremely pleasant. Communication during booking and arrival is always good. The cleaning team are also wonderful. We are looking forward to our stay again next May!

Fantastic villa

We came for 2 weeks and weren't disappointed. The villa was lovely, clean and big. Lovely pool which we all enjoyed! Very quiet neighbourhood. We didn't hire a car this time which wasn't a problem, Ubers were cheap and readily available. Aldi is a 10/15 minute walk away. Restaurants easily walkable. Alfonso was very quick to reply and sort out any issues. Would definitely visit again.

Villa was outstanding as were the owners lovely neighbourhood, excellent location near to all amenities. The description and photos of the villa were very accurate but you have to visit to gain the full experience would recommend new clients to go and stay. The owners were very helpful and came on site immediately to help if you have any issues or questions. Very clean and homely enjoyable weeks break in Portugal with my family.

We would not return or recommend this villa in the future. Since returning from our stay the host has unfairly accused us and charged us for “using force and breaking a blind“. This simply is not true and we had explained to him that we had used the control buttons only to open and close blinds and that we were not responsible for a faulty mechanism. In order to try and obtain additional money from us the host then sent a list of other "issues" in order to try and justify the additional charge and paint us in a bad light to VRBO. For each of these issues we were accused of “breaking the rental terms of agreement”, however I would like to note that the only rule we broke in the rental agreement was not taking 3 small bags of rubbish to the skip on the day of departure, I happily admitted this and asked for him to revise the charge to be more reflective of any additional costs incurred due to this. VRBO required the host to provide evidence of the additional costs which were incurred, the host provided photos which were not at all reflective of then state which we left the villa. Furthermore, we provided feedback to the host about some hazards and potential hazards and also the pool heating not working (as confirmed by the engineer on our last day). All of our feedback was disregarded, which I believe was in order to strengthen the chance of the host being able to charge us. But I find it very concerning that he mocked the feedback I gave which included some serious safety issues such as bedroom doors not being able to be opened from the inside leading to people getting trapped in bedrooms. I believe that the host wanted to create a strong case for recouping the costs of calling out an engineer to look at the blind and hence when we disputed this since it was not our fault, he started trying to compile a case against us with points which were just was not fair or at all valid. Whilst we did enjoy the stay whilst we were there the communication we have had since we were back has left us with negative feelings on this host. If you do decide to book after reading this review I would make sure that you leave the house absolutely spotless and make sure you take photos of every part of the house when you leave.

Private road so no through traffic so quiet, beach is only 8 minutes drive away or you can walk(other side of golf course)20 minutes. Afonso the property manager is very knowledgeable and was a great help in giving us details to get our Covid test to return home, Villa is as you see in the pictures and is well stocked with all you need

Exactly as described, a nice villa in a nice location.

The villa is very large with each bedroom having its own en-suite. Upstairs has some nice views with the golf course and the sea in the distance. We couldn’t fault the service, everything we asked we had answered and actioned very quickly. Even printed off our UK passenger locator forms and Covid test certification for our return home, thank you! Tip if you are visiting during the pandemic. In nearby Albufeira there is bookable Covid tests available (see their website for cost as I cannot post here) which are accepted by UK customs (verified on 29/05/2021 at Bristol Airport). Or visit their website albufeirasafe.com for a contact number. The certificate was emailed to us the same day. Would advise to book as soon as possible to avoid having no appointments available.
