Sanctuary Yurt Glamping Forest Getaway in Alberton, MT
Magical getaway bedroom in the woods on 25 acres where glamping meets re-wilding. Come recharge and rest. Short walk to the all cedar outhouse. Enjoy watching the fire dance at the campfire circle by the creek. Great hiking trails close by, and just 20 miles to Lolo Hot Springs and 4 miles to a restaurant/saloon. This is a space to truly unwind, as there is no cell phone coverage, but there is limited WiFi. Chef cooked breakfast available (costs extra).
Yurts are spaces that are very responsive to nature. You will feel nature more keenly in a yurt. Our yurt is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and provisioned for a relaxing few days in the woods. Charming and beautiful outdoor kitchen and bathhouse, with wood milled from our property. Kitchen has propane burner, pots and pans, kettle, plates and silverware and all that. Shower is with a solar shower bag, towels and handmade soap provided. Toilet is an outhouse in a charming little hobbit building, but still an outhouse (a composting toilet). If you don't like outhouses this is not a good property for you to book. Yurt available year round. Winter is particularly magical with a crackling fire in the wood stove keeping the space warm, twinkly lights, books and games to play with your loved one, and crisp crunchy snow to play in outside. The yurt is quiet and somewhat secluded.
Please plan to check in before 9 pm. This property is NOT a self check in. We need to show you around. This property is best enjoyed if you give yourself enough time to relax and enjoy it. The most common sentiment in the journal we have for guests to write in, is that they wished they had more time in this special place. Strict no pet policy. Any requests to bring fido will be declined. We are a homestead farm complete with permaculture gardens, and animals. We make handmade soap, milk the goats, and putter around our garden most days. We enjoy giving tours, so if you are interested in a permaculture/homestead lifestyle, come and visit!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Nice, clean and comfortable. I would not have rented had I realized I could not self check in. Bottles or a container of drinking water in the Yurt would be nice for future guests.
