Easy booking and access. Great privacy and loved the heated floors. Loved the kitchen amenity and hot tub with an amazing view. Definitely would recommend this for anyone looking for somewhere nice, clean, spacious and quiet.

The view from your semi private deck with your very own hot tub are amazing in a country where the views are astounding. You are surrounded by majestic fjords, and overlooking the bay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee maker supplied was a like having our very own coffee shop in the cabin. Highly recommend.

This hotel was 10/10 so much so that I overslept and missed my whale watching tour, mostly because these people thought of everything, during the summer the sun sets close to midnight and rises at 3-4am so Iceland doesn’t really get dark but this room had two layers of black out curtains that you can get 100% darkness in the room with premium quality fixtures. The hot tub was prefilled for me and already hot! Very nice touch, the fridge even came stocked with some sodas and then everything in the room is premium and modern so you are most definitely getting a premium 4 star experience. As for the whale watching tour they understood and rebooked me free of charge. I wish I could stay at this place longer.

Beautiful view from unit deck. Property is spacious and comfortable. Only minor issue are the scent diffusers. I had to put outside as I do not like perfume smells.

For the price, we expect better service.

Lovely location and really enjoyed having the privacy and access to the hot tub. Beds were also comfy. Sadly check-in and services really let this down. These are unstaffed, and the hotel that they are managed by had no on-site staff. upon arrival we had to ring a number of people to access the room and the check-in process we received was the out-of-hours experience. Additionally cleaning / refilling the room was not done despite a 3 night stay. We ran out of toilet roll and had to provide our own. And one small towel per person wasn't really adequate knowing people would regularly be using the hot tubs. A doormat would also help not tread ice into the room. For the price, we expect better service.

We LOVED this property! It was clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. The hot tub was an excellent size and temperature and situated with a beautiful view of the snowy mountains. Unfortunately we did not see the northern lights (visited in late December) here but we would definitely return to this accommodation if we were to visit the area again. The staff member on duty was also helpful and friendly :) The property could do with more storage for clothes, more shelves in the bathroom, possibly a dressing table with good lighting & places to hang coats and towels. The only downside to our stay was when the bathroom lightbulb exploded when I turned light on and pieces of glass were still present in the bathroom despite staff member clearing it with a dust pan and brush - a hoover would have been the safer option. Fortunately this happened on our final night though.

Best hotel / hot tub combo!!

Amazing stay for our first time in Iceland, booked the room with a hot tub and it was definitely worth it! Full kitchen area to prepare meals was handy with a working oven and stove top. Bed was the comfiest we have ever slept on!! Clean and modern room with no issues at all! Very quite where the accommodation is located so would definitely recommend hiring a car to make your stay that much more enjoyable when driving to and from the town rather than paying for taxi’s which was around £20-£25 one way depending where you went into town. Couldn’t recommend this property highly enough, smooth check in with our passcode for the room key sent in good time before we checked in. Fresh towels, bath robes and coffee pods for the machine were dropped off every morning around 10-11am. The hot tub was perfect, lovely and warm and the view of the northern lights each night made it worth every penny, watching them from the hot tub! Will definitely be returning to this hotel!

Snow, lights and adventure!

Our experience was incredible! The check in was simple and the location easy to find. The rooms are incredibly clean and well maintained, the hot tub was hot on arrival. The views from the room are some of the best we have seen with snowy mountains and even got to see the Aurora! We couldn’t of asked for a better stay or experience.

Stayed for two nights at North Mountain View Suites, and it was easily the best stay we’ve had in our 14 day trip to Iceland! The rooms were beautifully furnished and extremely spacious, and there was plenty of space to park outside our cabin! We were here in November where temperatures were <0°C, so the heated floors were a very welcome feature. The kitchen was also very well equipped, complete with a cooking stove, oven, pots/pans, cutlery and a fridge freezer (be careful to air the room if you are cooking to prevent the smoke alarm from going off). There’s also a coffee maker, kettle, toaster. However, what we really sold us was the hospitable service! We had a little laundry situation, and even though they did not have any official laundry service, the staff working that day, Martin, offered to help us with it, and even settled it before the end of the night! Exceptional service, beautiful location, and a perfect place to watch the Northern Lights (accommodation is far enough from Akuyeri so light pollution is minimal).

We had an overall enjoyable stay at North Mountain Suites. The location is fantastic—an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. Our room was very comfortable, and it was a nice touch that we got fresh towels every day. However, a few areas could use improvement. The hot tub was a bit of a letdown; it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly, leaving it slimy, which made us hesitant to use it for more than a few minutes. We also noticed that there was only one mirror available in the entire lodge, which made getting ready a bit challenging. The floor could have used a daily sweep, but there wasn’t a broom or cleaning supplies provided in the lodge, and housekeeping only swapped towels during our stay. With a little more attention to cleaning and amenities, this could easily be a top-notch place to stay!
