This is an otherwise good hotel apart from a few things which tainted our experience. The positives are that the rooms are well decorated and spacious with good facilities. The food in the restaurants was first class. We were frustrated, however, that there were some issues with our room that were not properly addressed. When showering our 2 year old child the water went from luke-warm to scaling hot, nearly burning them. We complained and they said they would fix it. But the issue of the water changing temperature was not solved during our 3 night stay, nor were we told the outcome of their work on it, nor did they offer to move us to a different room. We thought this was really poor service and not really acceptable. I received an email a day or so later but nothing was said in it other than words to the effect of “we will work on fixing this in the future”. Also on our final day we asked for help contacting our airline for our upcoming flight as the airline’s website was not working. A member of staff kindly rang the airline on our behalf, but while waiting to be put through the concierge came and made them cancel the call. We found this member of staff to be unnecessarily argumentative and unhelpful — they insisted on a solution which we knew to be wrong. This encounter really marred our experience, and as a result I doubt we will return to this hotel in the future.
