Waking up to bird chirping and viewing sunset from pool is absolutely breathtaking . You need a car to commute . Taxis/ uber needs to be booked in advance . Breakfast options are limited. Pool / jacuzzi should be open till later in the evening . We enjoyed the pool table and chess in the late evening with kids.

The staff here is exceptional. Cesar is a great host and will do whatever it takes to make your stay memorable. He booked our white-water rafting trip for us. Chris, in the restaurant, was very attentive and even passed along some messages from the rafting company to us. It is about 20 minutes out of La Fortuna with a beautiful view of Lake Arenal. Lots of birds to see, too. This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and when we get back to CR, we will stay there again.

Stumbled upon a hidden gem in Arenal! Hotel La Misión Arenal offers the perfect blend of comfort and charm. Nestled in lush surroundings with stunning views of Lake Arenal, it’s the ideal escape for adventure and relaxation. Amazing location with view on the lake, tenorio and mountains. Birds, but quiet. Cool pool and hot tub in perfect spot to enjoy the view. We liked the restaurant for breakfast and diner Rooms were large and cozy. Only issue was a water pipe break, but they offered another bungalow right away and it looked repaired the next day anyways.

La Mansion is absolutely beautiful and quaint. The casitas are adorable and spacious each with private verandas and rocking chairs. The views are breathtaking. Highly recommend this place.

Cannot wait to go back!!!

The Inn is nothing short of fabulous. The location is perfect (totally worth the scenic but very windy drive getting there…just take your time and enjoy the ride!) and a great place to just sit at the pool and enjoy the incredible views or to take a ride and check out other areas. You get so much for your money there and they have a terrific restaurant and bar on premises. Cesar is a terrific host and a tremendous resource to recommend places to go and things to do. We spent 5 days at Playa Conchal and 2 days at La Mansion but I wish we had done the reverse and stayed in the rainforest longer. The sights and sounds are endlessly beautiful.

Fantastic, especially if you are looking for quiet

I loved it! The views are unbeatable and the value of that panorama at that price is incredible. The staff are really nice and accommodating. I enjoyed both the free breakfast and the outstanding dinner I had there. The rooms have a lot of fun and cool decorations and furnishings. I'd say the only 2 criticisms are that the wi-fi could be stronger inside the bungalows and that it's a bit far from Arenal.

Such a lovely place with friendly staff, nice breakfasts, great views over the lake, and a nice private room. Pool was lovely with views, with a hot and cold pool available. Great to have a rental car to get around the area, but I would definitely stay here again.

I loved my stay at La Mansion. Christopher and the rest of the staff was so helpful and genuinely kind. The room was spacious and beautiful. The property and view was gorgeous. Waking up to the lake view and rainforest sounds every morning was heavenly. I didn’t get a chance to hike down to the lake because the rain was in predictable the morning we tried to do that. Breakfast was okay, not too many healthy options. Dinner options were okay. The Cesar salad was amazing! Although it’s a lil drive from places like La Fortuna, I would definitely stay here again.

The setting is absolutely beautiful, with views of the lake and mountainside in every direction. The hotel itself is full of cozy, comfy charm and authentic Costa Rica pure vida. Truly heaven on earth! All staff from Ceasar the front desk manager to the entire waitstaff were kind, friendly and completely helpful with all our requests. I highly recommend this for any and all tourists who want to experience true Costa Rican hospitality at its finest.
