Pre-arrival issues soured my impression
Sadly, my experience with this hotel started off on a bad foot. The day before we were to arrive at the hotel in Agra I received notice about our room bookings not being secured. First they said I had 24 hours to fix this or the reservations would be cancelled. By that evening, they had already cancelled the bookings (they said). When I phoned the hotel, I spoke with someone named "F". He told me the problem was with my booking third party (that's hotels.com) and I needed to contact them. Finally on the morning of our arrival, I spoke with an employee named "Sh" who told me there was no room in the hotel and that our bookings had been cancelled. She then asked if we could rebook for another day (seriously??!? we were on our way to the hotel that day). As well as telling her that was a "stupid question", I told her that I felt like the hotel had handled this very badly. They didn't inform me about the problem until the day before our arrival. Nor did they provide any avenue to make another payment. After that, suddenly our bookings were confirmed. It seemed unpleasant and unnecessary, but it appears that I may be having an issue with the hotels.com app. The hotel itself, was slightly disappointing. It wasn't the Radisson that I remembered from previous visits (I understand that is now a Taj Convention Center Hotel...or something to that effect).
