I have never written a review but feel that people should consider rethinking an off-season stay at this hotel. First, there is almost no English spoken or understood. We called ahead and were assured that everything we wanted to do was “no problem.” Unfortunately no problem must have meant can’t/won’t help you. Our main plan was to rent a bike/scooter for two days and travel the coast. They indicated they would help us. When we arrived and asked for help, they simply said, “No.” They live there and were unable to find a scooter for us. We walked around town and by chitchatting with people, were able to get a number for a rental agency…even though they said it could not be done, we found one. There was constant smoking in a room just off the entry where guests walk through going in and out. Later we discovered this was also the room we ate breakfast…disgusting. We were evidently the only guests on this night as our breakfast on the first day included a nice bowl of cut up pears and oranges. Sadly, what we did not finish was provided to us on the second day…but now dried up and quite nasty. The room heater was not heating well and was very loud. We asked for it to be looked at twice. Never fixed so it was very cold and loud so impossible to sleep.
