Good Hotel for the price, would stay again.

Really good location, 5 mins walk over the bridge to the old town of York. Bed comfortable. We had the cozy double room. Little on the warm side, obviously older building with no aircon, had windows open no problem. A little bit of noise from passers by but nothing to write home about. Staff friendly. Beer garden nice, although previous people had left mess around garden but not hotels fault. Managed to get parking space which was handy. Would I stay again, yes I probably would. Thank you

Great helpful staff, let us leave the car before check in. Room was an accessible room which was not asked for but a great stay & you couldn’t be closer to pubs & restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Didn’t get off to the best start with our bathroom been dirty, pointed out to the manager and clearly could see mould and grime around toilet and shower. Was sorted in end and got moved to a better room. Car park is hit and miss with spaces to park.

The breakfast staff and food was lovely however felt a little overlooked as a younger couple through the stay. The photos were a little misleading regarding the rooms, they looked modern and well decorated online and the room we got was quite dirty and very outdated, however the location and outdoor area meant we enjoyed our stay, wouldn’t say it’s worth the price.

Theatre trip

Lovely hotel. Warm welcome. Nice touches (White Company toiletries, fresh milk and comfy dressing gowns) and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good overall but the poached egg overcooked. Second time at this hotel would return.

The room was dirty..stains on the net curtains and on the bath robe, which didnt smell fresh either! Sofa bed uncomfortable (for a 12 year old), he said the matress was thin. For what i paid, there are nicer, more central hotels..i didn't have the breakfast, we went to the Judges Lodgings, which is also a hotel (wish wed stayed there), the breakfast was cheaper and the service was out of this world.staff at the slightly run down Middleton hotel were miserable..apart from.the barman..who was very pleasant..

The location is literally a 5 minute walk from the town so ideally placed. It has good car parking spaces which cost £12 to use, but the local car parks are very expensive. The breakfast was a little dissapointing as the cooked breakfast had no hash browns. We never used the gym but i had a look and it had a vast range of equipment to use. The bar was reasonably priced, and had a cosy, chilled athmosphere. On the whole it was a nice stay
