Overnight stay

We have stayed here before. Could not fault the friendliness of the host and gave us an excellent choice of restaurants for our evening meal. The hotel is comfortable enough but is looking a little tired especially in the room we were in but apart from that we had a good overnight stay

Good location on edge of town, with free parking outside (not guarded). Old fashioned typical country hotel in France, very nice owner and family, breakfast OK and lots of restaurants in the area.

Ok for an overnight stay

After 8 hours driving I was hoping for a little more in the way of comfort...to be fair the reception was warm, there was free on street parking over the road but the rooms were small and tired, the bathrooms clean but basic. Although it was on a busy road junction shutters kept out the light and noise, and the bed was comfortable. In the morning there was quite a strong drain smell in the bathroom...

My stay at the hotel is dominated by the check out experience, where despite having paid in advance the owner insisted that I had not paid. The owner snapped and in a state of rage he proceeded to take the payment again without my permission. He threw the receipt at me and stormed into the back leaving me in shock. I'm now having to pursue through my credit card for a refund of the duplicated payment. Maybe the owner was having a bad day, but there is no need to take it out on guests!  Beware and certainly don't pay in advance - he gets very angry!

The property is a quaint little hotel near the center of town. There is a bakery and grocery store nearby for your convenience. Our room was on the 3rd floor and they have no elevator so bringing our luggage up 3 flights of stairs was a bit of a challenge. Otherwise it was quite lovely. Staff was extraordinarily helpful and kind.

Walkable to town centre

We stayed 1 night so we could do sightseeing in Abbeville. This hotel is just off a roundabout and is walkable into town in 10 mins. We had a room on the 3rd floor which appeared to have been rennovated recently. It was clean and comfortable but the shower cubicle is small and the water pressure not great, although it was hot enough. There is no lift! There is a free public car park in the street down the central part of the boulevard Vauban. Breakfast is available for extra cost although we chose to move on without trying it. The wifi was patchy and not secure.

Lovely friendly manager. Great room with loads of space for us and the kids. Two separate bathrooms was a bonus. Only downside was no aircon. The roundabout the room looked out on was beautifully lit at night but traffic noise till 11pm and then from 6am. Nevertheless would recommend as an excellent stopover spot.

A VERY FRIENDLY HOTEL

I found the the Hotel Friendly, Clean and very Helpful as I am Disabled and offered a 1st floor room as the staircase was not so steep and with a halfway landing I managed. As it was my mistake of booking this Hotel with no Lift, I have to say we had a Lovely time there and in part of the City Centre we were not far from all Amenities.
