This hotel was in good position, walking distance to both Kata and Karon beaches. There is a regular shuttle bus that runs to Kata beach that you can catch on the way back at set times to save walking up the hill. We didn't mind the walk, it's honestly not that far just may be too much for you if you're heavily pregnant, have small kids or have zero fitness. You can walk through the the hotel grounds (so many stairs!) to cut into town and some local shops. We wore our swimmers so we could have a dip in the pool after the walk back! Breakfast was a basic buffet. There are signs on the restaurant menu about a cooking class held in the restaurant but no one knew anything about it! (Instead we went to Kata Thai Cooking school at it was great!). The pools are good with swim up bars. Clean hotel, close to beach, don't expect 5 stars but it's a good hotel :)
"Nice hotel, good pool access rooms, resonable rate"
We stayed 5 nights in October. The hotel is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach, can seem a long way in the humidity. However every hour there is a shuttle bus. The breakfasts are adequate. The bathroom clean and big, even had a separate bath. The room was clean, bright and roomy, lovely big glass wall/door out onto the patio and the swim up pool. The pool in the 'pool access rooms' was the highlight here for us. The grounds are kept tidy at all times. Prices are very reasonable for pool access rooms. I'd hightly recommend this type of room if staying here. Worth the extra money.
