Nice enough. Very good and cheep bakery downstairs, and good coffee available. We didn’t get the buffet breakfast as we’re not early risers but the bakery was more than adequate for a cheap late breakfast. The location was good. Lovely park across the road that creates a nice calming start to the day before the visual onslaught of Shinjuku! Subway and bus fairly close for visiting other areas of Tokyo.
I thought it could have been more elegant feeling if the bathrooms had a nicer design, seems like a wasted opportunity when the rooms and dining areas are quite nice. Also, I fully support a minimal daily clean, I don’t need bedsheets changed constantly, but I accidentally spilled a coffee sachet on the floor in the morning and it would have been nice if the person who replaced the coffee bags, towels, etc could have run a vacuum over it while they were there… the front desk were very prompt in sending a vacuum up when requested though. Overall, a pretty good hotel if your expectations aren’t too high, but I’d probably go for something a little bit nicer next time.
