"Overnight weekday away"
Firstly, according to wotif site, the reception sounded like opened until midnight, but it wasn't. We were arriving at night. Luckily, the hotel staff rang us to tell us that the reception close at 7pm and where the key would be. So when we finally arrived to the accommodation, we could let ourselves in. Unfortunately, there wasn't wifi password was noted in our pack left in security box, we couldn't use wifi to search anything. We stayed at a sutudio room and it was advertised as room with kitchen but there wasn't. There were few plates, cutlery, glasses, tea towel, dishwashing liquid and sponge in the wardrobe. There was a macrowave though. If we were staying more than one night and plan to cook ourselves some meals, it would be a struggle. The place is fantasticly located and room was comfortable enough and clean.

"Reasonable hotel close to everything "
The hotel was comfortable and easy walking distance to town, the decor was a bit tacky with the four poster bed setup a bit freaky.

"Nice Resort"
Very convenient location and a very comfortable apartment. The one disappointment was that they advertise access to wifi (at $10 an hour) and have instructions on how to access it in the apartment, but when you ask about it they advise there is no wifi available.

"quaint and cosy"
Nice place, friendly people. However, being a young couple we would have loved WiFi :D But for the price it was well worth it and John the owner is a very nice man. We only managed to get in at 10 at night and he stayed up waiting for us, which was very nice of him. Overall a very pleasant stay

"fabulous getaway location"
Great value, comfort, facilities and a picturesque location. Loved being so close to the water and surrounded by ducks, etc. Cooked our breakfast on the outside bbq, was delightful! Very close to town, about 10 minutes to walk up the hill. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

    Pocket Guide: Margaret River

Our wide range of Margaret River accommodation is perfect for exploring all the area has to offer: From large wine estates, to boutique family operated concerns; from gorgeous scenery to culinary delights; from golf courses to forests, beaches and caves. We have a Margaret River hotel to suit every budget and holiday need. See our range of Margaret River Wine Region accommodation when booking your next getaway.

Our Margaret River hotels makes a great base for exploring the wineries of the internationally acclaimed wine growing region, whether you are doing it independently, through a tour company, or being chauffeur driven. Margaret River is one of Australia’s largest wine growing regions and although it only produces three percent of the nation’s grapes, the region is responsible for more than 20 per cent of the nation’s premium wines. The first vines were planted in 1967 and since then the region has taken off and boasts 110 grape producers and around 90 vineyards open to the public for tastings and cellar door sales.

Although the district is renowned for its chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon wines, the region is also gaining acclaim for its shiraz and merlot, semillon, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc and verdelho varieties and there are plantings of exciting experimental varieties such as viognier and sangiovese, If you’ve got a sweet tooth that a dessert wine just isn’t going to satisfy, our Margaret River accommodation is a great base for visiting the Margaret River Chocolate Company factory or The Margaret River Fudge Factory, where you are able to watch confectionery being made by hand. The region boasts breath taking natural beauty: From the small creeks and sweeping valleys, to the thick native forests; from the rugged coastline, to the fascinating caves. Using our Margaret River hotels as a base, the natural beauty of the area can be appreciated through hiking and walking tours or by visiting the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park.

The area offers a number of outdoor activities including snorkelling, surfing the well-known breaks on the western coast and golfing at one of WA's most beautiful rural courses, the Margaret River Golf Club. Beach fishing is especially popular during May and June when huge schools of Australian salmon, on their annual spawning run, make their way up the coast north to Perth. Our Margaret River accommodation makes a great base for enjoying all these activities and for experiencing the local history and culture at Wardan Aboriginal Culture Centre and historic Ellensbrook house. If you're into your wine, browse our accommodation in other popular Australian wine regions or the Swan District in WA.
