This is followed by a walk through the charming historic old town of Wadowice. This is a place of prayer, reflection, and spiritual significance for visitors from all over the world. Next to the sanctuary is the Church of Saint John Paul II, part of the “Have No Fear!” Centre, dedicated to the life and legacy of Pope John Paul II. The modern basilica and surrounding complex offer a space for prayer, learning, and remembrance of his message and teachings. The Centre also houses a unique and deeply significant relic — the garment worn by Pope John Paul II during the assassination attempt in 1981.
