Imagine climbing one of the world's most active volcanoes and enjoying breathtaking views from the summit!
Stromboli is the volcano of the Aeolian Islands, standing 924 metres above sea level and characterised by continuous explosive activity. We offer a hike accompanied by an expert volcanology guide who will lead you up to an altitude of 1,312 feet (400 metres) in nearly 3 hours!
The hike will start 3 hours before sunset from the square in front of the Church of San Vincenzo, and it will take you approximately 2.5 to 3 hours to reach an altitude of 400 metres (1,312 feet). During the climb, you will admire the typical Mediterranean flora, with hues ranging from deep green to the warm tones of the lava that has solidified over the years, becoming one with the island's natural environment. The hike includes a stop almost every 30 minutes, allowing you to rest and enjoy the views. You will be amazed by the combination of elements coming together – sky, earth, water, and fire – and you will enjoy the eruptions of Stromboli, one of the world's most intense and breathtaking natural spectacles, against the backdrop of the night!
