Bird Watching In Sinharaja Rain Forest has 147 species of birds recorded to date. The forest is only marvellous location where 21 out of 26 endemic bird species to Sri Lanka .It is ideally situated at 1025m elevation having both the lowland and highland species in Sinharaja.There are few species live in hill zone such as White-eye (Zosterops ceylonensis) , the Scaly Thrush (Zoothera dauma) , the Wood pigeon (Columba torrigtoni), the Dusky Blue Flycatcher (Muscicapa sordid) and the yellow-eared Bulbul (Pycnonotus penicillatus).
