Overview

  • You'll leave full, a little buzzed, and holding three stories you'll be retelling by dinner.

This chef-led brunch walking tour combines indulgent tastings at four handpicked local restaurants with the history hiding in plain sight around Heavenly Village & Stateline.

At each restaurant, your chef-guide goes beyond the plate, sharing the history of the dish, the ingredients that make it distinctive, and the storey of how it came to be.

Between tastings, discover how the Pony Express passed through Stateline in 1860–61, with Friday’s Station serving as a home station for riders crossing the Sierra. Learn how the Comstock Lode transformed the region and fuelled Virginia City’s growth.

Hear the storey of the 1980 Harvey’s Casino bombing, when a nearly 1,000-pound device was delivered disguised as an IBM copy machine—one of the most unique IEDs encountered by the FBI.

Finish lakeside with your choice of a mimosa or handcrafted mocktail.

This is a taste of Tahoe—and the stories behind it.
