Accompanied by local guides who are natives of Soportújar, we will show you our town from the inside, just as those of us who were born and raised in its streets know it. During the tour, we'll show you its history, legends, curiosities, and intricacies, and explain how its unique association with witchcraft came about. We'll help you understand the event that is completely changing the future of the town: the Embrujo project, an initiative that is transforming Soportújar and making it one of the most unique and visited villages in the Alpujarra.

We'll start the tour at the entrance to the village, next to one of its most recognisable symbols: the gigantic head of Baba Yaga. There, we'll introduce ourselves and begin a cultural, fun, and participatory experience that will take us on a tour together through this curious and beautiful Alpujarra town.

From its numerous vantage points, we can enjoy spectacular views, considered among the best in the entire Alpujarra, as from here we can perfectly see the Mediterranean Sea and, when the sky is especially clear, even Africa on the horizon at sunset, a landscape that surprises all visitors.

During the tour, we'll also talk about the typical architecture of the Alpujarra, a hallmark of the region, and its most distinctive features that can be seen today in our town. We'll also note the similarities and differences between this typical architecture in Soportújar and that of other neighbouring towns in the region, gaining a better understanding of how it has historically adapted to the environment, the climate, and the ways of life of its inhabitants.

We will also visit unique places such as the narrowest street in Andalusia, which we will walk down together during the tour, and we will learn about the origin of the municipality's name, its traditions, and many stories that normally go unnoticed by those who visit the town on their own.

What's more, during the walk we'll put you to the test, as some of the sculptures have hidden “riddles”, small details that most tourists fail to discover. Together, we'll try to solve them as we walk through the streets and uncover new secrets.
