Deep within Santa Claus Forest at Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi lives an Arctic Elf named Tuikku. She loves children but is far too shy to meet them herself. Instead, she hides treasures, leaves clues and creates little tasks for families to discover throughout the forest.

You won't meet Tuikku during the adventure. Instead, the experience is inspired by her storey, and her presence can be felt through the clues and treasures she has left behind.

After pickup in Rovaniemi, every child receives a lantern and your guide elf introduces Tuikku's storey before leading you into Santa Claus Forest.

Each family has 8 hidden treasures of their own to discover, with separate hiding places for each family. Follow Tuikku's clues by lantern light along forest trails and wooden boardwalks. The Treasure Search is designed to be fun rather than frustrating — your guide elf will help whenever needed.

After completing the Treasure Search, every child receives a Treasure Search Certificate as a memory of the adventure. If no children are participating, adults receive certificates instead.

After booking, we ask about the participating children and your preferred language so we can adapt the experience and prepare Tuikku's clues in your chosen language whenever possible. English guiding is available throughout the season. From October to March, Spanish, French, Italian and Greek may also be available, subject to guide availability.

The Treasure Search leads to a traditional Finnish wilderness shelter and peaceful forest meadow. Gather around the fire for a BBQ meal with meat or vegetarian options, warm Finnish glögi and Leipäjuusto, traditional Finnish squeaky cheese served with homemade cloudberry jam.

The departure time is planned to enjoy Lapland's darkness while remaining suitable for families. The open meadow offers a beautiful view of the northern sky, and on a clear evening you may even see the Northern Lights. They are a wonderful possible bonus, but this is not an Aurora hunting tour and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

The experience is limited to 16 guests, although groups are usually much smaller. Families, couples and groups of adults are all welcome.

Whether Santa Claus Forest is covered in snow or surrounded by the colours of the snow-free season, Tuikku's Treasure Search has its own kind of magic.
