What you can expect

  • Board a bespoke vessel, hand-built on the shores of Lake Rotoiti. “The Airstream Project” offers an intimate, classic Rotorua boat cruise designed to explore the lake’s most pristine hidden spots.

Cruise scenic geothermal bays and discover hot thermal sand beaches, secret glowworm caves, and historic Māori sites—all set against a backdrop of lush native bush.

Twist your feet into warm geothermal sand streams, take a refreshing lake plunge, or wade right into daytime glowworm caves to witness their natural bioluminescent light. Prefer a more relaxed pace? Simply sit back, unwind, and soak up Rotorua’s lake Rotoiti views from the comfort of the vessel.

In the remote northern bays, discover historic Māori food storage caves carved directly into the sheer cliffs—a rare cultural sight accessible only from the water. Feel connected to nature as your vessel glides close to lush native mosses, overhanging ferns, and cliffside bird nesting sites.

Enjoy complimentary morning tea as the stunning New Zealand landscape drifts past. This is the ultimate Lake Rotoiti glowworm cruise—up close, unhurried, and truly unforgettable.
