The “Stiftshauptmann zu Quedlinburg” – Hans-Jürgen Meie – invites you to explore the history of the UNESCO World Heritage City of Quedlinburg up close. Experience an authentic tour of the past with your guide. Listen to exciting stories spanning over 1,000 years of the city's history. Gain insights into the nearly 900-year history of our women's collegiate monastery, life at the monastery, and the significance of this monastery for Quedlinburg. Our route will take us from the market square, with its Roland statue, through the narrow streets of the Old Town and up to Stiftsberg. Along the way, you will learn about the secrets of the Finkenherde and a mistress of the Saxon Elector Augustus the Strong.
