Transfer to the harbour master's office, where we'll take a boat for an hour to our hostel. Welcome gathering with a refreshing local fruit juice. Check-in to our respective rooms.
We'll take a short walk along the Hanging Bridge, at a height of about 30 metres, which will allow us to appreciate nature from as high up as possible. We'll also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River. From the platforms, we'll observe different species of birds, such as toucans, macaws, tanagers, and oropendolas. It will be a wonderful experience.
Then we'll get ready for a challenging activity in the trees, more than 30 metres above the ground. For this activity, we'll have an instructor guide who will give us a briefing on how to use the safety harness for the zip line, and we'll feel the adrenaline as we glide through the trees.
Visit to our 150-foot tower, where we can see the entire treetops.
Amazonian lunch (vegetarian, vegan)
In the afternoon, the challenge is to cross the Madre de Dios River by kayak. For this, we will have life jackets and a boat for safety.
Next, we will visit the native family, located on the other side of the Madre de Dios River from our hostel, where we will learn about Amazonian culture and how to make a natural fire, archery, singing, and natural cotton dyeing.
After the 5 activities, we return to Puerto Maldonado at 5 PM.
