Dana Point Harbor

Please note: Your specific route depends on the option selected at booking (Harbour Tour or Bluff/Lantern District) We will walk the harbour & learn about it's history, fascinating stories & I will take photos of your group along the way. There are 2 different options for the walk: Option 1- we will meet at the parking Structure off Golden Lantern St. & walk the whole harbour. It is around 2.5 miles and takes about 2 hours. Option 2- we will meet by the Ocean Institute at fisherman’s pier & walk the west side and over the bridge. This walk is 1 1/2 miles a takes about 1 hour. Both walks include candid photos as well as a portrait session over looking the Pacific Ocean. This is a fun, scenic, and informative casual walk. You will receive 50 photos (candid and posed- professionally edited) I am very flexible, we can vary the walk according to your group and ability. There are bathrooms along the way as well as a coffee shop for refreshments. This is a family and kid friendly walk.

Bluff Top Trail

Walk the historic Bluff Top Trail for breathtaking 180° views of the Pacific Ocean and Dana Point Harbour from above. We’ll explore the 'Arches' of the 1920s Dana Point Inn and wander through the charming Lantern District, known for its unique history and coastal architecture. This route offers a stunning elevated backdrop for your professional photos.

Dana Point Lantern District

Stroll through the historic streets of the Lantern District, where the streets are famously named after colourful maritime lanterns. You’ll see a beautiful blend of classic 'California Cottage' architecture and modern coastal designs. It’s a peaceful, charming area that provides a unique, colourful area backdrop for your photos, distinct from the rugged coastline of the bluffs.

Ocean Institute

We’ll explore the West Harbor’s most scenic spots, starting with the nautical exterior of the Ocean Institute and the tall ship 'Spirit of Dana Point.' We’ll walk along the serene shores of Baby Beach and continue to the rugged Headlands beach directly behind the Institute. This area offers a perfect mix of calm water views and dramatic coastal cliffs for your professional photo session.
