In Kamikochi, travellers will experience the unique feeling of walking on deep snow using snowshoes, which provide flotation and make it easy to travel across areas where normal boots would sink. Snowshoeing is beginner-friendly (unlike skiing), and your guide will help fit the equipment and teach simple walking techniques.
